About The Salem Herbfarm

Joe, Anne, and Elizabeth Duncan welcome you to The Salem Herbfarm in Salem, Connecticut.

We live in an old farmhouse and grow herbs on land once owned and farmed by Anne's grandparents Alice and Edward Mitchell. You can read more about the farm and its history if you like.

The barn here at the farm, which used to shelter the dairy cows and bales of hay, is now being used as an herbal gift shop.

You are welcome to stroll the gardens any time we're open for business. We are very proud of our 19th century garden and we hope you enjoy it too.

Our greenhouses are used to grow most of the herbs, flowers, and vegetables sold here. Each seed has been planted by hand and tenderly cared for. And our plants are pesticide-free.
