The Salem Herbfarm 2013 Workshops
One of the most popular and fun activities that go on here at the Salem Herbfarm are the "hand's-on" workshops that we hold every year. Workshop Registration
Registration for our workshops requires pre-payment with cash, check or credit card. You can register in person, by phone (860-859-3344), or through the mail. Mailed requests must include either a check or a credit card number (don’t send cash please). We will process your payment as you sign up. If you cannot attend a workshop for any reason we will issue you a gift certificate for the amount you pre-paid. Be sure to provide us with a contact number and mark the date on your calendar. We will call to confirm your place in a workshop but we don't make reminder calls.
Make Your Own Stone-like Pot w/ Denise or Joe
Saturdays on
April 27th, May 4th, May 18th, and finally June 22nd, all at 10:00 a.m.
Includes all the materials for making a 10" round pot, plus instructions on how to make a variety of other pots, troughs and garden decorations. You will set the stone-like pot in a mould at The Herbfarm and finish it at home the next day. Limited to 10 potmakers. Cost: $30.00
Cool Herb, Lettuce and Pansy Pot with Pat
Saturday, April 20th at 1:00 p.m.
Pansies, herbs, lettuce....Just what we need to really feel like it's Spring! We'll pot up a 10" pot with 3 herbs, a pack of pansies and a pack of lettuce. And it is really cool because it can be put outside in a sunny location. Limit to 10 cool potters. Cost $26.00.
12" Lettuce Bowl with Mary
Saturday, April 20th at 10:00 a.m.
At this workshop Lettuce help you pot up a lettuce pot. With care you should be able to have salads all Spring and beyond. This workshop is limited to 10 Bowl Makers and costs $15.
A Hot Herb Pot with Pat
Saturday, June 1st at 10:00 a.m.
Let’s pot up a 12” container with hot-loving herbs. The thyme is right to do this. The container will include 5 herbs of your choice and will need to go into a sunny location. Limit to 10 “Hot” potters. Cost $36.
Fairy Garden Mania with Maggie
Saturday, June 1st at 1:00 p.m.
Have you been eyeing all the cute, mini fairy gardens you see everywhere and wondering how to put one together? Well then this workshop is for you! Our resident fairy garden maker, Maggie, will guide you in creating the fairy garden of your dreams! Limit to 10 Fairy Fans. Cost is $10 plus the cost of the supplies you pick out including a pot or box, plants and fairy furniture.
