The Salem Herbfarm 2010 Workshops
One of the most popular and fun activities that go on here at the Salem Herbfarm are the "hand's-on" workshops that we hold every year in the Spring. Here's our listing of 2010 workshops.
Workshop Registration
Registration for our workshops requires pre-payment with cash, check or credit card. You can register in person, by phone (860-859-3344), or through the mail. Mailed requests must include either a check or a credit card number (don’t send cash please). We will process your payment as you sign up. If you cannot attend a workshop for any reason we will issue you a gift certificate for the amount you pre-paid. Unless otherwise noted, 15 spots will be available for each workshop. We will keep a waiting list for each filled workshop in case a spot becomes open, and we may schedule another workshop if there are enough people interested. Be sure to provide us with a contact number and mark the date on your calendar. We will call to confirm your place in a workshop but we don't make reminder calls.
Make Your Own Stone-like Pot w/ Denise
Saturday, April 17th- 10 am
Saturday, May 15th- 10 am
Saturday, June 5th- 10 am
Includes all the materials for making a 10" round pot, plus instructions on how to make a variety of other pots, troughs and garden decorations. You will set the stone-like pot in a mould at The Herbfarm and finish it at home the next day. Limited to 10 potmakers. Cost: $30.00
Kid's Workshop
Pot up a Trio of Garden Magic
Saturday, April 24th- 10 to 10:45 am
The little hands will be planting up 1 seed, 1 pansy and 1 vegetable in kids' size pots. Age 6-10 years old and limited to 10 future farmers. Cost: 3 Pots-$3
Mother's Day Basket
Sunday, May 2nd- 11 am
You will be planting up a wicker basket with 3 herbs, pansies and lettuce. Add a bow and it's beautiful to give or to keep. Limit to 10 basket cases. Cost: $35.00
Pot Up One of Our Own 10" Stone-Like Pots
Saturday, June 5th- 1 pm
Select from hardy alpine perennials, herbs or succulents. Pay for the plants you plant. If you are not bringing a 10" Stone-Like Pot purchase one from us.
